This is actually quite an old song that never got properly recorded until now. More than two decades ago, Phil Bonnet came up with the chord progression, Thymme wrote the melody and Scott supplied the words. It was a contender to be included on Enduring The American Dream, but did not quite fit thematically. Thymme made his way down to snowy Bloomington, Indiana so that Carmen could lend her always-beautiful vocals to this modern rendition. Definitely worth the trip… and she got to sing with Phil’s spirit, which was very much present via Jeff’s fingertips.

10/23/97. Phil tries out his new autoharp. Or was it Dylan? Or was it Jeff? Or was it Thymme?
In any case: One of those four. And everyone else played everything else. This was an odd phase of the band. Spirits were definitely being conjured during this period. The four would enter the practice space and “things” would immediately start happening. Ritualistic sonorities. Questions arose as to whether CHEER was to continue being a rock band or not. There was mostly interest in non-rock at this time…
