Thymme Jones- piano, voice, synthesizers, drums

Technical note: You may have to turn this one up a bit louder than the
other monthly toons up to this point. Todd Rittmann, our mastering Master,
has been joyously/magically busy at this particular juncture (for reasons that
you’ll either know or not know), and we did not wish to bother him about this
track. We will bother him at a later date when we are compiling all or some
or most of these songs for Some Sort Of Vinyl Thing (or whatever physical
medium of our choosing) sometime in our nebulous future.

Rock Island, Illinois

6/13/05. Rock Island, IL. Just this side of the Illinois/Iowa border, at the Brew And View.
First we have Cheer and his pal, Accident, kicking the night off by heading up the Jack
Sue Highway, then they’re joined by Todd Rittmann for some improvisatory Hell, then
Alex Perkolup joins in on Serious Bass… and then Todd cuts a rug (after cutting up
the earthworm) for a segment of “Everyone’s Ugly Up Close.” Sorry about the occasional
glitch; our Sony Hi-8 camera was dying a slow death on this tour. Also, it’s very dimly
shot… but it’s totally worth it!

Fort Thunder

Well, this is getting convoluted! I think we may be losing the Phrogplot here… but let me put
it another way, a way that spins positive: What an amazing find I just made! I was sorting
through my bushel of microcassettes when I happened upon the one that documented
CHEER-ACCIDENT’s first trip Out East with the Dylan/Jamie/Jeff/Thymme incarnation, which
was coincidentally the one tour that our friend, Phrogclock, tagged along on. The tour
went down in November of 2000, BEFORE he was confined to his Phrogclockbox 24-7,
so he was able to walk around and interact with the band… and that’s what we have here.
This “interaction” (which consists of four or so minutes of Phrogclock reading from
some random book he found at the space they’d all slept in/played at the night
before, along with six minutes or so of the band aimlessly wandering around
improvising at said space) took place at a rather infamous Bohemian spot in
Providence. More about Said Space:

So, yes. There’s some context for ya. It should also be noted (and this is starting
to sound like it belongs more in the Past Lives section) that the show from the
night before has the distinction of being the only time that CHEER-ACCIDENT
ever got stale bagels thrown at them.

08/20/14

Sandy Gordon dropped in at the end of 8/20/14’s practice
and improvised with us for the first time. Here are three
tiny teasing tidbits, all edited together, to give you a
glimpse of what happened that night.

Sandy Gordon- drums, acoustic guitar
Jeff Libersher- electric guitar
Dante Kester- bass
Thymme Jones- piano, trumpet, air organ
