Sundown Ride

Sundown Ride

Laura Boton- vocals
Jeff Libersher- guitar, bass, trumpet, keys
Thymme Jones- drums, b-vox
Mike Hagedorn- trombone

Going
For a sundown ride

Going
Tonight

Knowing
It’s impossible to die

Knowing

Going
Where the blacktop winds

Going
To find

Knowing
There’s no end of the line

Knowing

Once inside
They ride

Want to die
Want to die
Inside

Bullshit propaganda

Desert Storm

Back in 1991, Thymme lived with Phil and was sometimes
privy to what Phil had the privilege (?) of engineering.
O Gosh, the humanity. The bullshit propaganda of it all.
(This is from that FIRST Gulf War, the one with the
killer graphics and Wolf Blitzer’s barely contained glee.)

(No idea which Christian Rock-adjacent artist this is.)

Loom

Loom

Joan Leigher- acoustic guitar and voice (and words)

Mastered by Todd Rittmann

In the cricket thicket
And the catch in the rock
Springs run through the sassafras
The triggers in the blooms unlock

She was stuck on a stick
And the only way
Was to slip out of her sweater
Carry on bare skinned in the day

The sun is a star
And can be worn
In so many styles

And so can the stars
The higher you rise
The loom of the sky

She came to the creek
But couldn’t cry
She couldn’t cross
Without someone to help her stay dry

The water so long
Had been peeking for weeks
Taken by the glow
Of the sun on her cheeks

Oh daughter
Come to the water
Let me cross you
Swiftly like an otter

Like the sun
Water can be worn
Myriad styles

Sparkling surface
Lower you down
The loom of the tide
